Manifesting Grace

Read: Ephesians 3:9 Philippians 4:14-16

“And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.”

There are only two biblical reasons why the believer may not enjoy what has been made available to him in Christ. First, ignorance of what Christ has done for him; and second, lack of fellowship with what Christ has done for him. ‘Fellowship’ here means participation. Most believers have gone past the first hurdle but still have the second to cross. In fact, this is the reason many are frustrated and hopelessly illusional.

Jesus Christ died for all (John 3:16); but to be saved, you must act on Romans 10:8-10, that is, confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Grace has come to us by what Jesus Christ has done for us, however we partake of grace by acting on the specific instructions attached to enjoying such grace. Every grace comes with certain specifications or requirements. There is a way to communicate with the grace of salvation apart from the grace of prosperity (2 Corinthians 9:6-10). All is of faith, but the instructions of grace differ.

To be saved (born again), you must confess Jesus as Lord, not as your prophet or close friend; you must believe that God raised Him from the dead for your justification. Did you see the specificity of believing? In the same vein, the fellowship of grace for financial prosperity responds to giving. The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:5-6 to sow our seeds of money, kindness and goodwill to God’s work and to people’s lives. This is the specific instruction that comes with grace for prosperity. The Word says if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly; and if you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully.

There is no third option of not sowing at all. We all ought to be sowers in Christ for the grace of prosperity to be made manifest in our lives. Tithing is the basic kind of giving, and giving of offerings (to God, to the poor, to our parents, to the expansion of the ministry of the Word and the Spirit) makes the sharing, communion, fellowship of grace possible in our lives. Faith and acting on its instruction(s) is what it takes to manifest God’s grace in every sphere of life. Don’t say you just believe without any corresponding action that gives expression to your faith. Faith without corresponding action is dead, being alone. Faith acts, for grace to be made manifest.

My Solid Front (Confession):In the Name of Jesus, I fellowship with the grace of God for prosperity by acting on God’s Word: giving my tithes and offerings in faith consistently. Amen.
