Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Psalms 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Success is God’s dream for you. He planned out your success before the foundation of the world. The Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Again, the Word says in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” God’s will for you is prosperity on every side. To succeed is to reach your God-given goal; it is to reach the end that God planned before the beginning of the world. Your life and existence is not by accident. God carefully thought about you before you were born into this world. You are a creature of purpose. Your life is a creation of God’s all-wise craftsmanship. You are wired by God to succeed.
Having known that God’s will for you is success and prosperity, you also must know how to make this happen God’s way. The opening verse in Joshua 1:8 shows us how to have good success God’s way. It says the Word of God must not depart out of your mouth, meaning you must make it your daily confession and communication. It is so important to talk the Word. Many don’t see this part of life as significant; but to succeed, you must say the Word consistently. Why? Confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). When you confess the Word that you believe, you are creating the realities of it. You are speaking into being your faith. You are commanding your destiny according to the Word. You are creating your world. You are calling things that be not as though they were. Scripturally, salvation means all that your heart desires: healing, prosperity, safety, peace, name it. You see, confession is made unto prosperity and success. Joshua 1:8 continues by saying you ought to meditate in the Word daily. Meditation is deep mental consideration of God’s Word such that it overwhelms your inner thoughts. This art or practice is vital to success because it brings you into keen observation of the Word, to do it. As you begin to act on God’s Word, you will become able to deal wisely in all the affairs of life. This is how to succeed God’s way.
My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of Jesus, I believe it is God’s will for me to succeed; therefore I choose to succeed by giving heed to meditating and acting on God’s Word. Amen
