Jude 1:20 “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost”
Zechariah 4:6 :Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the Word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of Hosts.
Our opening verse tells us to build ourselves on our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Evidently, praying in the Holy Ghost is the way to build ourselves on our most holy faith. When God blesses you with an added or new revelation of His Word that causes your faith to surge to a higher level, you can build on that, at that level, praying in the Holy Spirit.
When God adds to you, in grace, in virtue, in understanding, you must maintain that new level of glory by praying in the Holy Spirit. What does it mean to pray in the Spirit? Well, it simply means to let the Spirit help you and take you over in your prayer life, praying Holy Spirit-inspired and -governed prayers; and the easiest way to let the Spirit of God take you over is to pray with the utterance that He gives you, which is utterance in other tongues.
When you pray in other tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance, you are praying in the Spirit; you are praying Holy Spirit-led and -inspired prayers. When you pray this way, you will be built up on your most holy faith, and you will become sensitive to the Spirit’s leading and move per time. What a blessing it is to be able to pray in other tongues as we fellowship with the Spirit in all that the Father has blessed us with in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
When we learn to move with the Spirit of God, great things will happen in and through our lives. For us to move with the Spirit of God, we must be able to discern what He is doing. It is our place to prepare for the move of the Spirit of God. Although we don’t move the Spirit, He moves of His own will; it’s in our place to prepare ourselves through prayer and meditation. This way, we prepare our spirits and get ourselves ready to discern the move of the Spirit of God.
Now, when the Spirit gets to moving and you move with the Spirit of God, a lot is done within a short period of time. You see someone pacing up and doing so much within a short time; it’s only possible by the Spirit, that’s why the Bible tells us in Zechariah 4:6, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Our world has not yet known what God can do by His Spirit, but God wants to show to the world what He can do by His Spirit through you, and that is why God is teaching you so you might know how to prepare yourself for the move of the Spirit. So, go ahead and build up yourself on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, that you might be able to discern the move of the Spirit, and be able to partner with Him intelligibly.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I give myself to prayer and meditation in the Word; I prepare my heart to be sensitive to the leading and move of the Spirit. As He moves, I move with Him. Thank You Father because my eyes see great and mighty things. Amen.
