Prosperity is God’s Will for You

3 John 2“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Proverbs 4:20-21

V:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

V:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

It is not difficult to know the will of God if we will look in the Word, meditate upon it, and practise it. Looking back at the Garden of Eden before the fall of man, the will of God shone brightest. There was no fear, no lack, no oppression of any kind, no sin or rebellion against God; there was no sickness. That is a perfect reflection of the will of God for man. God is not the author of confusion. He is absolute Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). Darkness is confusion. God is not the author of confusion; darkness. He is not the author of poverty and oppression, in sicknesses and diseases. The eyes of the Lord are too pure to behold iniquity or evil. God is Light: He is good, and does good things. James 1:17 tells us that every good gift and every perfect gift, comes from above, from the Father of lights with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. He cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He tempt anyone with evil. God is holy, just, kind, gracious and merciful. He is Love (1 John 4:8).

Our opening Scripture tells us that it is God’s will for us to prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers. God made Jesus poor for us that we might be rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 tells us that Jesus Christ, though He was rich, was made poor for us, that we might be rich through His poverty. If it was not God’s will for us to prosper He would not have made Jesus poor that we might be rich. Again, in 1 Peter 2:24, the Word tells us that Jesus Christ bore our sins on His own body on the Cross, that we being dead to sin, we might live unto righteousness, by whose stripes we were healed. Beloved, don’t let the enemy talk you out of what rightfully belongs to you in Christ: Healing and prosperity are yours in Christ; they are children’s bread. Healing and prosperity are God’s will for you. Embrace them gladly and in faith!

My Solid Front (Confession):

In the Name of Jesus, I declare that healing and prosperity are mine in Christ Jesus; they are children’s bread. I am redeemed from lack and death; I am blessed in Christ! Amen.
