Praying in other Tongues
Act 2:4“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” The Leverage
1 Corinthians 14:2-4
V:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. For no one hears, but in spirit he speaks mysteries.
V:3 But he who prophesies speaks to men for building up, and exhortation, and comfort.
V:4 The one speaking in a tongue builds himself up, but he prophesying builds up a church
Praying in other tongues is one of the numerous blessings that God has given to the man in Christ. This privilege is peculiar to the man in Christ, and it is exclusive to the New Testament. It is such a refreshing fountain that God has opened to us in Christ. Isaiah 28:11-12 tells us “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, this is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
This is the way God causes the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing. We will take a deep rest in God and get overwhelmingly refreshed when we speak in other tongues. In your private prayer life, seek to speak in other tongues a lot. Let this utterance from your spirit by the Holy Spirit, in tongues, well up within you. The miracle of praying in tongues is unfathomable to the natural mind. We can draw rest, refreshing, comfort, and edification from the springs of God within us by praying in other tongues. It is such a blessing God has bestowed on the Church.
1 Corinthians 14:2 tells us that he who speaks in tongues does not speak to men, but unto God; howbeit he speaks mysteries. Mysteries are the deep things of God concealed for our honour and shining. As we speak in tongues, the Spirit takes a hold of our spirit, and navigates on a prophetic journey into the deep things of God allocated to us before the foundation of the world. We come into depths by praying in tongues. We make progress in the things of God by praying in tongues. We make quantum leaps by praying in tongues.
There are realms and capitals in the Spirit that our natural minds cannot enter into, except through praying in tongues. Eye has not seen, they have not entered into the heart, the things that God has prepared for us who love Him; but by praying in tongues, they enter into our hearts and we enter into them. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus, I give myself to praying in other tongues consistently; and I enter into the deep things of God for me, prepared before the foundation of the world. Amen.
