Read: Ecclesiastes 7:9; Proverbs 16:32
MEMORISE: He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city (Proverbs 16:32).

Hate leads to resentment. Resentment births anger, and the latter leads to outburst. If, when you are in anger, you can behold your face in a mirror, you wouldn’t like what you would see! At that mad moment, you have stressed up millions of cells in your body, whereas it only takes just one of them (the cells) to laugh! Why is the man prone to anger not helping himself?

Anger is one of the manifestations of the works of the flesh (Gal. 5:19). It has wrecked untold havocs in homes, communities, churches, workplaces and societies. Despite the fact that, man is theoretically believed to have “mad moment,” daily, out of the whole 24hours, anger is still undesirable. It shatters and scatters. It mars. It is more destructive, most especially when not brought under the spirit’s control.

How many persons have sent others and themselves to their early graves because of anger? It respects nobody, whether rich or poor, high or low, dark skinned or white skinned! Once you allow it in your life, it gets it destroyed, at times beyond repairs!

An angry man differs not from a mentally deranged individual! Is that description too derogatory? Then you must stop anger! Some have attended anger management lessons, yet no positive change. Only the Holy-Spirit-controlled person can overcome anger. It is a gun powder which explodes like timed-bomb! Identify things that make anger to ensure in you and deal with them decisively. Learn to be accommodating and receptive. It is not strange for Christians to be cheated! Put away all works of flesh. Anger is one; deal with it!

1. I banish every spirit behind anger in my life, in Jesus’ name.
2. Holy Spirit, help me to control my temperament so that I don’t destroy my life, home and other endeavours with anger.
3. Pray for bad tempered husbands/wives that God
