TEXT: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).

Hear Mike Murdock, “Decisions destinies.” God made man a free moral agent to make his own decisions. While God wishes man to make the right decisions that will give him peace and joy, Satan’s goal is to make man make the wrong decisions so that he will forever live with him in sorrow and regret. Making the right decision demands wisdom. That was why the Psalmist prayed to God: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).

Joshua in his old age assembled the children of Israel together. He was about dying. He highlighted to them many reasons why they should stick to Jehovah God alone all through their generations. The same way Jesus pleads with sinners to repent of their sins for abundant life here and in heaven. He pleads with them to come out of sin and the grip of Satan to avoid hell. Joshua and his household were wise to make the best of all decisions to serve God. What is your own decision? Have you repented of your sins?

CHALLENGE: Does your decision have eternal value?

QUOTE: Have you repented of your sins?

PRAYER: Help me Lord to do your will, in Jesus name.
