PASSION FOR SOULS OF HIS PEOPLE
TEXT: “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge” (Romans 10:1, 2).
There was a clip on the NET in which a puppy was found standing helplessly in a running flood. From the top of a snowy steep, a man risked his life and slopped down into the flood to rescue the puppy. As the Good Samaritan could not climb up with the puppy after several attempts, the sympathetic onlookers joined their hands together to form a chain down the steep to pull up the man and the puppy to safety. What a challenge to all believers!
The Good Samaritan risked his life to rescue a mere soulless puppy whose life ends in this world. The sympathetic onlookers were also driven with passion and in unity rescued the man and the puppy. Apostle Paul’s passion for the salvation of his people led him into ceaseless intercessory prayers for them. Also, when the Lord Jesus saw the dying multitudes of sinners, He was moved with compassion. As Christian youths, are you bothered about the sorrow and the endless pains that await your sinful mates, neighbours, teachers, and perhaps your unsaved parents and siblings in hell?
CHALLENGE: Share the good news with all Lord
QUOTE: Jesus….was move with compassion
PRAYER: Help me Lord to care for the dying.
