Daily Manna

TEXT: Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation(Psalm 85:6, 7).

Dr J. Elder Cumming contended that, “in almost every case the beginning of a new blessing is a new revelation of the character of God more beautiful, more wonderful more precious.” Revival refers to the visitation of God which awakens Christians who have been sleeping. It stirs up a deep sense of God’s presence and holiness.

Are you a sleeping youth? Check up your spiritual life. You can only experience revival when you love the gospel and allow the presence of God to overwhelm you. Make sure you grow into Christian maturity and true holiness. Most importantly, make sure revival is a regular phenomenon in your life. Do not let the wickedness in the society overwhelm you to dampen your spirit. If it does, pray fervently and revival will come again. Note that revival empowers the Church to impact society positively.

CHALLENGE: The fruit of revival is greater love for God.

PRAYER: Lord, get me out of slumber through genuine revival.
