THE LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD

Higher Everyday TEXT: “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil” (Job 1:8)?

Almighty God singled out Job among millions of people in his days as a man that pleased Him in all his ways. It means Job daily lived a life of obedience that glorified, and honoured God. He lived a perfect and righteous life. God was bold to challenge Satan that there was none like His servant Job on earth.

How was Job able to please God with his life? The Bible says Job feared God and shunned evil. The fear of God in Job made him to be conscious of God’s presence everywhere and that God had perfect knowledge of his doings. The fear of God made him hate anything that displeased God. Jesus also pleased God. Concerning David, God said that he was a man after His own heart. What will God say of you? God will judge every sin that man commits except it is confessed and cleansed with the blood of Jesus. If you are a true child of God, His fear will keep you away from evil. Do you live in conformity to the word of God?
