Faith That Never Gives Up
Mark 5:25-34; Hebrews 11:1
Mark 5:34 “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”.
Our opening Scripture takes into account the woman with the issue of blood. The woman described in the above portion of the Scriptures had two defining traits that are worthy of note. First, her faith; and second, her attitude to life, which was informed by her faith. She refused to take the problem as her status or her new identity, or as her new address. You must never allow a problem to define your identity or give you a new name or address. This woman never gave up on herself for twelve years; she kept on seeking a solution to her problem, going from one physician to another.
No matter what life throws at you, you must never give up on yourself because if you give up on yourself, who else will believe in you? A man who has lost hope in himself cannot see himself becoming anything in life. You can only be helped in life as much as you believe that you can. Don’t overrate the challenges that you are going through. The truth is, when you see other people’s challenges, you will know that your challenge is one of the many challenges people face daily.
No matter the situation in which you have found yourself, you can get out of it! It does not matter how long you’ve been there for. Refuse to sentence yourself to a life of hopelessness. The spirit of faith says, ‘I am coming out of this situation.’ Your faith will produce if you stay on the Word.
Do you know that no matter how small you think your faith is, that is exactly what it takes to step out of the miry clay into your miracle? You may think that you don’t have faith but check within. It may just be a speck of it, but that is all you need to get out of that situation.
For the woman with the issue of blood to have made several attempts to get well, for twelve years, is not a joke, as some people would have thrown in the towel just within three months of a challenge of such kind. Listen, search through the Bible to find portions of the Scriptures of what God said or has done about your situation. Put the Word in your mouth with thanksgiving unto God and let God confirm His Word to you. Don’t believe a lie that it is God’s will for you to live with the situation. God’s love for you is sure and His will is clear from the Word. Refuse to believe a lie! Resist the devil and he will flee from you!
My Solid Front (Your confession):
I refuse to give up on the Word. I plough the Word of God in faith and the Word produces amazing results in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Further Meditation: 2 Corinthians 4:13; Numbers 23:19.
