Joshua 1:8; John 5:39
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein…”
The Scriptures testify of Jesus and all that His death and resurrection has made available to man. God’s Word is God’s express will revealed to man. The Word is God’s answer to the questions in the hearts of men. All you have to do is to get into God’s Word and discover all that God has prepared for you before the foundation of the world. God’s Word contains all that man needs for life and godliness. God’s Word covers every area of your life, be it financial, marital, academic, social, ministerial, spiritual, health, etc. II Peter 1:3 tells us that God’s “…divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. Beloved, God’s Word is His revealed will for you and yours. You may ask, ‘how do I know God’s will for me?’, ‘how do I please God with my life’? The Word declares, “…be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
As you search the scriptures and meditate on God’s Word, your mind will be illuminated to know the will of God for you. It’s not difficult to know God’s will, if you really want to know it. God’s Word is God’s will. It is good to cultivate the habit of finding out what God has said in the Bible concerning every venture you are about to carry out before you set out on them. Search through the Word to know God’s will for your finances, ministry, marriage, career, etc., before you embark on them. The written Word is God’s revealed will for you. This will help you to run and organise your life according to the will of God. Never take any rash step! Never make any wrong move! Beloved, faith in God begins where the will of the Lord is known. “Wherefore be ye not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17).
