CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD
Romans 10:13; Isaiah 55:6-7
Romans 10:13 “for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
God does not discriminate. He’s no respecter of persons. He says, WHOSOEVER shall call upon His name shall be saved. Do you fit into the bracket of whosoever? Then, you can call upon the name of the Lord. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; it’s a fortress and a refuge. The name of the Lord is a pavilion and a covering. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. So, the salvation of the Lord is available to whosoever would call upon Him. If you care to call upon the name of the Lord, then salvation is the result. The Word ‘Salvation’ here is not just salvation from sin but it is also salvation from the consequences of sin. In other words, you can be saved from sicknesses and diseases, havoc, danger, accident, hunger, fear, oppression, depression, cancer, diabetes, disfavour, etc.
Salvation is an all-encompassing word. Therefore, when God says whosoever shall call upon His name shall be saved, He is giving us a blank cheque. Beloved, go ahead and make the most of it. Call upon the name of the Lord. The Bible says in Psalms 34:5, “they looked unto him and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” When you look unto God, trusting in His name, you are lightened. You will not be put to shame. Lift up your hands right now and call upon the name of the Lord over that situation. The name of the Lord is strong and mighty. Whatever the need may be, whatever the situation may look like, go ahead and call upon the name of the Lord right now, for salvation is in His name. Call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved, you will be secure, and you will be protected.
