THE DARK PLACES OF THE EARTH (I)
READ:
Psalm 74:19-23
19 O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
20 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
MEMORISE
And have no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them (Ephesians 5:11).
EXPOSITION
Dark places are those places where utmost evils are perpetrated. These infernal locations transcend the terrestrial: covens, lodges and shrines. The term “dark” only refers to the cultic method of communication, deliberation, operation and execution of conceived mischief and wickedness.
Someone confessed that both the walls of the palace and the thrones “were built with human blood”. This horrible confession was later edited out of the repeat broadcast! It goes to show that royalty, in general, or in part to a large extent worldwide is shrouded and riddled in darkness. This makes the institution since, to be one of the dark places of the earth based on past antecedents. This has also long been proven by many witnesses, especially by writers of history, as to the unlimited sacrifices, directly and indirectly, often made subtly to appease ruling territorial “principalities and powers” associated with enthronements, dominion and power. Even YAHWEH denied His beloved King David his heart desire and privilege to build Him a temple. It is written, *You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name* (1 Chro. 22:8).
Power games as politics, like royalty are fertile grounds of utmost intrigues that involve all forms and acts of cruelties. Christians must mind their desires and take their stand in all this, especially, when in dilemma. As the light of the world, our light must so shine that people may see (Matt. 5:14-16). Just as God separated the light from darkness, Christians must be separated from darkness, ready to expose the works of darkness.

When shall all hatred cease,

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank God for His immeasurable grace keeping you from all harm and power of the dark places of the earth.
2. Rebuke all acts of cruelty going on in the dark places of the earth, and decree that they will be of no effect in your life, home and endeavours.
3. Arise, O Lord, and scatter the assemblies of evil ones, especially those militating against Your Church.
