Read Genesis 50:15-21
15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him.”
16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying,
17 ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.
18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we are your servants.”
19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God?
20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nation (Jeremiah 1:5)

Our God is a purposeful God. He has plan and purpose for every of His creatures. The plan He has in mind before forming or creating you is your destiny. The purpose for which everyone is created is normally settled before such a fellow is born, though deviations happen, but can never be blamed on God. God usually gives hints and warnings on what a person’s original purpose on earth is, before diversion/deviation sets in, but most of the time, many are too insensitive. God’s plan and purpose for man stands sure (cf. Rom. 8:29), but when man stops cooperating with God who owns his life’s manual, he practically strays away from the umbrella of the plan, making it utterly difficult to fulfil his original plan, since he has lost contact — the Source.
Joseph was sent to Egypt through envy, but it was the plan of God for him to later save many people from the extinction that would have been caused by the worldwide famine. It was not a pleasant experience for him at that time, but he later realised that it was the original plan of God for him to go ahead of his family and descendant to save them from famine. God’s original plan, as he told Abraham, was also fulfilled, as He sent Joseph ahead to Egypt (a foreign land), for that which He had in mind and had hinted the Patriarch Abraham about (cf. Gen. 15:13).
How can you fulfil God’s intention for your life? Enter into, and maintain cordial relationship with God who owns the blueprint of your life. Believe that He has a very concrete purpose for your life, and that He allows any situation you might encounter (cf. Amos 3:6), for His good purpose (Rom. 8:28). Go to Him in earnest prayer to find out His plan and purpose, as you ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into the truth of His plan for your life. Also, consecrate yourself to that which He desires you to do.

  1. Pray that God will open your eyes to all that He would have you do on earth.
  2. Pray that you will fulfil your purpose and destiny on earth; whatever you have been sent to the world to do, you will accomplish all.
  3. Pray for CAC Odusona Region, our father in the Lord, the Superintendent, and its officers at the various levels, as led by the Spirit of God.
