TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-17
MEMORY VERSE: “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep” (1 THESSALONIANS 4:15).
“I would like people to live in the present with eternity in mind. If there is, in fact, going to be rapture one day, in which we leave everything behind, shouldn’t that loosen our grip on our material possessions right now?” This quote from Robert Jeffress sums up our lesson today.
The rapture is the catching away of saints to be with the Lord in the sky for the commencement of the marriage supper of the Lamb. It will also mark the beginning of untold hardship of the Great Tribulation for the people of the world, including youths who would miss the rapture.
The rapture can take place at any time. Youths are strongly enjoined to examine their lives in line with the reality of the imminent rapture. Those who have not given their lives to Christ should do so, because the time is very short. Christian youths also have the task of preaching Christ more forcefully than before to bring others to the Kingdom.
QUOTE: The rapture is the catching away of the saints.
CHALLENGE: The rapture can take place any time from now.
PRAYER: Lord, keep me on the alert, so that I do not miss the rapture.
