THE THIEF’S TRANSLATION
TEXT: LUKE 23:39-43
MEMORY VERSE: “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise” (LUKE 23:43).
Two thieves on their crosses were inches away from hell, a place of eternal punishment and woe. One of these thieves made a U-turn and escaped hell for all eternity. The second, being foolish, hardened and proud, continued with his blasphemous life until he fell into hell. He is still there and will remain in torments forever. The thief who made it to heaven had a sober reflection of his sins and saw the imminent well deserved punishment waiting for him. He changed the narrative by accepting Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Right there on the cross, His sins were forgiven and his name was written in the book of life. He gained heaven at last, while his former colleague in thievery slid into hell.
Friend, the decision you take today will determine where you will spend eternity. If you chose to remain with occultism, lying, fornication, examination malpractice, internet fraud, pornography and other sinful lifestyles, you are not wise. Come out from among them, and the Lord will receive you today.
QUOTE: His sins were forgiven.
CHALLENGE: Jesus can save the vilest sinner.
PRAYER: Grant me grace to come out of all sins, dear Lord.
