Give to the Poor!!!

Leviticus 19:9-10; Isaiah 58:7-8.

Isaiah 58:7-8 “…Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily…”

When God called Abraham out in Genesis 12, He made a promise to bless him so much that He would be a blessing to others. You are the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29) and the same inheritance is yours. You are blessed to be a blessing. Settle it within you once and for all that you have a mandate to be a blessing to the world. So, in Christ, God has made a provision for you to be blessed, and He has empowered you to impact the blessing upon your world. You will minister to the needs of others, give out scholarships, empower people, make your world a better place, and meet the needs of the poor in Jesus Name. Job was such a man of honour, affluence and influence, and the Bible records this of him in Job 29:12-13 as the secret to his success, “Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.” When you appear, men will be glad and rejoice, because the answer to their prayer has come. Don’t commonize yourself; don’t say ‘what do I have to be a blessing to others?’ You are empowered, blessed, helped and exalted to be a blessing to your world. Believe it!

Don’t let anyone dissuade you from helping the poor. Both in the Old testament and the New, there is provision for helping the poor. In Leviticus 19, God told the children of Israel to make provisions for the poor during harvest. God said if you have a farm and you want to harvest, don’t harvest the corners of the farm, leave them for the poor so that they can enter in and take something for themselves. Another example in the New Testament is how they contributed money in the Gentile churches and sent relief materials to Jerusalem and they did that regularly. Beloved, you are an answer to someone’s prayer. There are people who are not yet looking up to God because they don’t know Him, they don’t even know how to believe God for anything, but you know God and you know how to look up to Him and believe God for things and they are looking up to you to take care of them. You are a giver, not a taker. Start thinking help, comfort, solutions to the end that you might be a blessing to others. Take responsibility for your community, for your siblings, take responsibility for people around you as empowered by God and see how God will bless you tremendously. Our opening Scripture says it is then that your light will break forth, you will begin to see opportunities by the Spirit of God, new open doors will begin to open up to you and God will minister creative ideas and give you uncommon insights into secrets of wealth all around you. Amen!!!

MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION): In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am a giver, not a taker. I am blessed to be a blessing to the poor. Amen!!!

Further Meditation: Luke 6:38; Isaiah 58:7-8.
