TOPIC: LIVING A STRESS-FREE LIFE
TEXT: MATTHEW 6:26-34
MEMORY VERSE: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (MATTHEW 6:34).
A writer declared, "Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles; it takes away today's peace." Jesus Christ, in His usual loving kindness, frankly declares: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). In this, He forewarned us of the reality of stress-evoking circumstances we must contend with in this deprave world. Success in academics, entrepreneurship, indeed, in all of life's endeavours, depends on our ability to lead a stress-free life, despite tribulations. Ordinarily, it is difficult to ignore the magnitude of stress caused by hazards, disappointments and failures we will face in life. Therefore, Jesus ended His statement with a promise, "...be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Those who trust in Him will be empowered to live a stress-free life, despite challenges. However, you cannot truly trust someone that you do not know. Jesus Christ is the Giver of peace. To know Him, you must accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. Do it now!
QUOTE: Jesus Christ is the Giver of peace.
CHALLENGE: Rather than bemoan your failure, restart with Jesus and excel.
PRAYER: Father, grant me the ability to focus on Jesus and excel.
