TEXT: ACTS 9:15-22

MEMORY VERSE: “But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?” (ACTS 9:21).

Francis Chan declared, “Something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers.” This is because the two life paths are diametrically opposed. Saul of Tarsus, upon encountering Christ on his way to Damascus to arrest and imprison Christians, was transformed into a new personality. Right from that moment, Saul, renamed Paul, turned around to passionately follow Christ, whom he once persecuted. His former peers were totally confused. People become bonafide devotees of other world religions mainly by being born into them and observing rituals, produced and imposed on them by their leaders. But Christianity involves a total transformation, resulting in a new lifestyle that offends the world but glorifies God, who indwells all His people.

Can you testify that your own life has also been transformed by Christ? Remember, the Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). In your family, do your parents and siblings see the new person in you? May the narrow way be your pathway.

QUOTE: His former peers were totally confused.

CHALLENGE: Is your life so transformed that your old friends are offended?

PRAYER: Touch my soul, O LORD, and renew my nature.
