TOPIC: WEARY OF GOD’S WORSHIP?

TEXT: ISAIAH 43:21-26

MEMORY VERSE: “But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel” (ISAIAH 43:22).

"In your spiritual exhaustion, when you feel like it's just not worth it to carry on, the action to take is to set your feet on God's path," said Glenn C. Stewart.

Sometimes, it appears we just watch as our passion wanes, our faith weakens, and our consecration withdrawn from the altar of sacrifice.

These could be the result of shattered dreams, unanswered prayers, and disappointments from trusted Christian leaders or close confidants.

Prayer becomes nearly impossible and uninteresting, as listening to sermons and studying the Bible do not even appear to make sense anymore! Can you imagine yourself getting tire of God? Even Ruth was not weary of Naomi when all hope seemed lost.

The Devil would show us a picture of hopelessness, urging us to turn away from our Master, Jesus Christ, even pushing us to blame Him for our woes. Satan is using his weapons of discouragement and depression against you. But all we really need is to walk more closely with Jesus, reading the Bible and worshipping with the saints - and we shall overcome.

QUOTE: Even Ruth was not weary of Naomi.

CHALLENGE: Stay close to God to recover from spiritual weariness.

PRAYER: Father, please strengthen me from within, in Jesus’ name.
