ACTION, MORE QUICK ACTION

TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 9:10-12

MEMORY VERSE: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (ECCLESIASTES 9:10).

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments,” says Jim Rohn. Life on earth is very short. Departure from planet earth, termed death, is a certain and unpredictable event. Afterwards, we all must face the judgment seat of God. As such, wisdom demands that one evaluates one’s life endeavours in the light of eternity, prioritise activities – secular and spiritual, and then take quick actions that would be rigorously pursued towards realising the best options of temporal and eternal goals.

Examine your daily life and see if you are really carrying out good and quick action in line with your future goals as a young person. William Hazlitt was right when he said, “The more we do, the more we can do.” Pray, read, meditate and plan more for a successful future. In all this, do not forget to act fast on your plans. Sinners should also quickly receive Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour, thus, escaping eternal damnation. For standing believers, action is also needed to invest your resources in serving the LORD fervently while there is life.

QUOTE: Pray, read, meditate and plan more.

CHALLENGE: Act now, lest you regret eternally.

PRAYER: Father, please grant me the wisdom to act now.
