HANDLING NEGATIVE CONDITIONS OF YOUR CONSCIENCE AS A CHILD OF GOD (1)

1 Corinthians 10:23-32, Hebrews 10:22

Yesterday, we saw the role of the devil as the accuser of brethren, he accuses your conscience on the issues in your past. Most of the time, a lot of Christians carry a condemned conscience before God after the devil has spoken to them. He tells you how bad you are; he reminds you of the sins you committed some time ago and you still feel the pain.

Some Christians undergo mental torture under the accusation of Satan. You are not to struggle against the sins of your past because God has washed them off. You are to stand on the word of God and reject every remembrance of them. You are not to struggle against it, that is the devil’s trick to imprison your conscience, which should not be the case.

According to Hebrews 10:22, there is no way we can draw near to God in full assurance of faith until we wash ourselves of all evil conscience or evil consciousness. You sprinkle your heart with the Word of God and the blood of Jesus. The word is pictured like water and the blood becomes the blood of sprinkling by exercising faith in what the blood of Jesus represents for you.

When we become born again, we need to soak ourselves in the Word of God and be renewed in the spirit of our mind to know who we are in Christ Jesus. When it dawns on you that you are a new man in Christ, you will carry yourself differently.

PRAYER: I declare, there is therefore now no condemnation to me in Christ Jesus, I walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Amen!
